The St. Thomas More Lawyers Society of Wisconsin will have its next "First Friday" gathering this Friday, October 2, 2009. Mass will begin at 7:30 A.M. in the Chapel of the Holy Family located on the 2nd floor of the Marquette Memorial Union (15th and Wells). Mass will be followed by a meeting and discussion from 8:00-9:00 A.M. over a continental breakfast (suggested donation $4.00).
Our speaker during the breakfast this month will be Peter Heyne, a law student at Marquette University and outgoing President of the Society’s student chapter at Marquette. This past week, a delegation from a Jesuit law school in Chile is visiting Marquette University. The law school is named after a recently canonized saint, Fr. Alberto Hurtado, S.J., who was a lawyer and social activist. Peter will discuss with us this lawyer-saint.
Parking is available on Wells Street or in one of the nearby campus lots.
